Defining the Needs of the Position
We will meet with the organization to determine the scope of the assignment. It is expected that different situations will require different approaches and levels of involvement. During these discussions, the manager’s roles and responsibilities will be identified and the organization’s expectations for the functional area will be defined. Specific performance objectives will be developed by the new manager’s supervisor and communicated to Lawrence, Allen & Kolbe.
Assessing Capabilities of New Manager
After determining the organization’s needs and the requirements of the manager’s immediate role, we will meet with the new manager to identify and document the individual’s managerial assets. This will include a review of the manager’s accomplishments and capabilities including specific business results, technical and professional competencies, educational and intellectual achievements, and interpersonal, political, networking, and communication skills. Written assessments will be used to evaluate objectively measured skills and interview sessions will evaluate the more subjective areas of management.
